When in Rome. . .

We had an unforgettable visit to the Eternal City in July, 2017.
In this post,  I have tried to document some of the great sites and amazing people that we met this summer in Rome. This is a work in progress, so stay tuned for updates.

Where we stayed. . .

We stayed at the beautiful Hotel Artemide
Here is a quick review of our stay at this wonderful 4 Star Hotel,  located on Via Nazionale

“We are so glad that we chose the Hotel Artemide to serve as our base for a 4-night pre-cruise visit to Rome. From beginning to end, our stay was extraordinary in terms of our accommodation, the breakfast room, the amazing staff and the hotel’s location

Our room was well-appointed and spacious with ample room for 2 adults and a teenager who had her own pull out sofa bed.  We had a huge bathroom with a rainfall shower head, ample premium toiletries, and a large vanity. Each room at this hotel has a mini-bar that is restocked each day. What a treat!

Breakfast each morning was outstanding. So many choices in the buffet room. Each morning we were there, the attentive staff made the rounds with fresh bruschetta, cannoli, freshly baked bread, cakes and fresh cheese. What an amazing way to start off a day of sightseeing in Rome.

At every encounter, we found the staff to be super friendly and helpful. It is quite clear that the staff take hospitality very seriously. The hotel motto, “Let the staff make the difference”, is certainly true. The staff is amazing.

We found the location of the hotel to be very good. We found good restaurants and shopping nearby. Some of the best gelato we have ever eaten was two doors away.

We would not hesitate to recommend the Hotel Artemide to anyone looking for a wonderful place to base their adventures in Rome.”   Gord Parsons (July 2017)
